Our Founder


Mikhail Zadoyen  (1963-2017)

Mr. Zadoyen was born in 1963 in the beautiful city of Odessa, Ukraine. He immigrated to the US in 1994 with a massive background from the soviet and post-soviet financial system. Graduated from H&R Block Accounting School in 1996 and was invited to work in one of the bookkeeping firm in the Valley area.

Very soon he realized that he is more than capable to open his own business and that is how Mikhail Income Tax Inc was born.

During his years as a business owner, he became an Enrolled Agent to Practice Before The IRS, serving the clientele on the highest level possible.

For almost 20 years Mikhail was one of the leading accountant and tax preparer in Los Angeles.

Meet Our Team

Larisa Zadoyen

Mrs. Zadoyen inherited the firm after her husband’s passing in 2017. She is working at the office as an Owner/Manager and Financial Aid Consultant.  She has an extensive knowledge in Financial Aid for the Undergraduate and Graduate Students that comes from working as a Financial Aid Director at the American Jewish University for 15 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Cryogenic Technic from University of Refrigeration, Odessa, Ukraine.

Yelena Zadoyen, J.D.

 Mrs. Zadoyen started working with her father, Mikhail Zadoyen, in 2012. Since his passing, Yelena began working at the office as an Owner/Manager.  She holds a BA in Business from the American Jewish University, a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is a California Bar candidate.

Anna Sasunyan

 In 2002, after a year working at the large accounting firm in Downtown LA as a bookkeeper and 4 years at the Beverly Hills Accountant firm as an accountant receivable, Anna was hired at Mikhail Zadoyen Income Tax Inc. as a Bookkeeper and Payroll Coordinator. She is working as a Senior Staff Bookkeeper who has understanding of Quick Books and responsible for detailed quarterly and annual financial reports. Process bank reconciliations, payroll, electronic deposits and employee pay adjustments. Maintain accounts receivable and payable as well as preparing sales and city tax.

Ms. Sasunyan also has become a licensed tax preparer in California.

Ms. Sasunyan has a Bachelor’s Degree and Accounting Certificate from the State of California.

Nana Vardanyan

Nana Vardanyan

Ms. Vardanyan joined the firm in 2007. She is a Senior Bookkeeper who has a keen understanding of QuickBooks and account analysis. AP/AR, Payroll, Year‐End Items (W‐2`s, 1099`s, Record Retention) Sales/Use Tax, Audit Preparation, Corporation and LLC Formation, Journal Entries, Data Entry, General Ledger Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Monthly, Quarterly, and Year End Financial Statements.

Ms. Vardanyan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance.

She is also a CTEC registered tax preparer.

Sergey Shapiro, CPA, MBA

 Mr. Shapiro joined the firm in 2017. He is an experienced CPA with an MBA degree and over 15 years of professional exposure to multi-level accounting disciplines: managerial and financial accounting, audit, tax and business consulting.

His main areas of expertise are: Finance Consulting concentrating on financial advisory services for small businesses and individuals, Finance Management, Audit, Tax and Business Consulting. CPA Shapiro strives to provide our clients with the highest quality service through constant communication. We have received an excellent feedback for his services as client satisfaction is our top priority.

Leon Tsipis

 Mr. Tsipis joined the firm in 2006, as an Associate Partner. In addition of being an Enrolled Agent to Practice Before The IRS, he licensed as a Real Estate Broker, Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System; CA Life and C Agent, and Certified Notary Public. He has multi-years’ experience in personal and business income tax preparation and small business bookkeeping as well as extensive experience in IT projects, data origination, data analysis, storage, management, migration, reporting and transformation using vast diverse databases and software packages, with responsibilities that included project managing, disaster recovery planning, managing schedules and deliverables, ensuring the smooth running of activities and clear communication at all levels.

Alla Ioffe

 Mrs. Ioffe joined the firm in 2010.  She is the Executive Assistant to Mr. Leon Tsipis and the Senior Loan Processer for Robbins & Lloyd Mortgage Inc.
